Development Sciences Informatics seeks to fill a contract position for a talented informatics project manager with strong business analysis skills to contribute to scientific data management efforts.
Development Sciences (DevSci) is a translational science organization that plays a critical role in *** Research and Early Development as well as late stage development of our products at Roche. DevSci supports drug discovery and development projects across all therapeutic areas from discovery to launch and beyond. We are poised at a unique time when large volumes of complex and varied internal and external data needs to be readily accessible to ensure that swift interpretation and decision making can occur.
These data impact decisions in ongoing preclinical and clinical programs, and provide key knowledge to inform new target discovery. DevSci Informatics is accountable for leading the strategy and execution around data lifecycle management, data standards, analytics infrastructure, ongoing data operations and informatics systems.
For both small and large, dynamic projects bring structure and oversight to the work being done.
Manage scope well and report out on the project status regularly in written and presentation formats.
Manage stakeholders effectively and understand the business needs from scientific and data management perspectives.
Learn the organizational structure of our scientific departments quickly in order to interface with the right contacts for project work.
Manage resources and plan projects using tools such as gSites, JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheets, or MS Project.
Generate polished and concise communication tools for larger projects: project charters, requirement documents, use case documentation, lessons learned/retrospectives, project delivery summaries.
Guide and do gap analysis, solution evaluations and proposals, ensure alternative solutions are explored and that selected solutions are scalable.
Identify gaps and opportunities for streamlining, improvement, or automation in data management processes through analysis and use of tools like workflow modeling, activity diagrams.
